Duffy Books in Homes wants to end booklessness in New Zealand homes.  Duffy Book Week is one of the ways in which this will be achieved.

Three times a year, over 100,000 children from almost 550 schools get to choose brand new books from a catalogue that are theirs to take home and keep.

Kids Reading

With your help during Duffy Book Week, we can give even more children the opportunity to own their own books for the very first time. Duffy Reading

As little as $50 per year enables us to give one child all the services of the Duffy Books in Homes programme.

  • A minimum of five brand new books of their choice each year, labelled with their name
  • Three Role Model assemblies each year in which they can hear from a prominent New Zealander about their love of books and reading
  • An annual performance by the Duffy Theatre at their school
  • The opportunity to earn a ‘Caught Being Good' book of their choice each week
  • The chance to recognise their parents and caregivers with annual awards
  • The chance to give their preschool siblings a book on their birthday as a present
  • The opportunity to hear from successful High School students about their experiences after Primary School
  • The chance to win awards for effort and excellence in attitude

Any contribution you can make is gratefully accepted.
